Overlord II follows a young child being ostrasized for his weirdness and magic, only to be found by the minions and taken away to be raised, the bulk of the game is a campaign of conquest against an expansionist magic hating parody of the Roman empire, filled with new comical twists on the fantasy races that appear, and on the "Glorious Empire" including some jabs at real life issues in passing. Eventually you uncover the reason for the situation and thus the final boss. Raising hell has portals to, well hell, appear where The Overlord traverses twisted takes on the normal fantasy world that makes up the various hells, comming accross most of the heroes you vanquished, and frequently making their eternal torment even worse in the course of solving puzzles and gathering even more power. It features a low key morality system, with evil options making your overlord grow darker, his armor more twisted, and unlocking events like peasants cowereing and offering tribute, with good options making your armor shinier, both only becoming apparent quite late in the game, with various costs and benefits of the more blatant good vs evil choices being more immediate and also having a pragmatic evil twist for a number of "good" options (starve the peasants to feed your minions, or feed them so they can farm more) and different endings based on which way it went Overlord 1 has you revived by the minions, some time after the previous Overlord was killed by "Heroes" and you proceed to go about rebuilding the Overlord's power base, fixing up the dark tower, finding magic items and equipement that was looted, and claiming dominion over various towns and such as you wander the comically twisted fantasy land and end up fighting the now very corrupt former heroes. Now I will give a brief overview for those unfortunate to not know of these games before finding this thread
OVERLORD RAISING HELL FARMING LIFEFORCE SERIES
The series includes Overlord, its dlc/expansion Raising Hell, Overlord II, Overlord ark Legends, Overlord Minions, and The fellowship of evil. With that bit of purple prose out of the way, lets get started, this thread is for recommending fiction about the game series Overlord, a delightful line of games that sees the player controlling the Overlord, a Sauron(when he had a body) like figure in charge of charming goblin like minions, called minions(they predate the yellow ones), as he goes about building up a dark domain and conquering the land.

I hope that by collecting the excellent few works of this franchise that I have found, that they will be ever more visible, and that more ideas will arise and potentially inspire new works.

After finding one of the depressingly few Overlord (games) fanfics on this site, and inspired by a new one that came out recently I realized that there was no thread like this on this site, or at least I could not find any.
